Product Description
Single vision lenses are eyeglass lenses that feature the same optical power throughout the entire lens. This means the lenses are designed to correct vision at a specific distance only. These lenses are used to correct vision problems such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), or astigmatism.
Single vision lenses are the most frequently prescribed type of eyeglass lenses. Unlike multifocal lenses which have different lens power zones for clear vision at multiple distances, single vision lenses maintain the same prescription from top to bottom and edge to edge. They have a straightforward design and are generally easier to adapt. If a person needs correction for both distance and reading, two separate pairs of single vision lenses or multifocal lenses are usually required.
Product Features

① 1.499 index indicates a standard level of light bending. Lenses in this index are thicker than higher index lenses for the same prescription.
② CR39 actually has better optical properties than polycarbonate. It is lightweight (about half the weight of glass) and has good optical charity. Additionally, it can be tinted easily, making it an ideal material for sunglasses. CR39 also offers clear and comfortable vision due to its high Abbe value (around 58).
③ CR 39 resin lenses do not fog up as easily as glass lenses. Welding or grinding spatter can form craters or permanently adhere to glass lenses, but will not adhere to resin material.
④ Although the CR39 is not inherently UV-protected or scratch-resistant, these features can be easily achieved through coatings.
⑤ 1.499 CR 39 lenses are generally more affordable compared to higher-index or specialized lens materials.
